Krátky popis k programu StormFinder:

Teraz máte možnosť stiahnuť si softvér StormFinder vo verzií 1.0 od autora Carsten Schmidt. Stiahnutie je samozrejme zadarmo, bez nejakých skrytých poplatkov. Popis programu StormFinder je v anglickom jazyku, ale pod ním sa nachádza aj orientačný preklad v slovenskom jazyku. Ospravedlňujeme sa, ale tento preklad je značne nedokonalý. Bol totiž vytvorený automatickým prekladačom. Použili sme ho preto, aby aj ľudia, ktorí nemajú dobrú znalosť anglického jazyka mali predstavu na čo slúži softvér StormFinder ..

What does it do and how does it work?
Stormfinder is a little utility that requests non-unicast packet statistics from
all interfaces of a network device using SNMP. After requesting the number of
incoming NU-packets (i.e. broadcasts and multicasts) it does so again after 10
seconds and calculates the difference. Excessively high numbers of NU-packets in
this time interval indicate a network loop which should be investigated. In the
first column of the table, the OID is shown where the number after the last dot
is the interface number.

Simply enter the IP address and SNMP community of your device into the corresponding
fields and click on "Check Now". After ten seconds or so you will see the results
in the "Delta"-column of the table. Check for excessive NU-packets.


Please note!
SNMP is using UDP and a loop in the network is causing many packets to be delayed
or to get lost. Therefore, under certain circumstances this software may not yield
the desired results.

Stormfinder je malý nástroj, ktorý požaduje štatistiky paketu-unicast zo všetkých rozhraní sieťové zariadenie pomocou protokolu SNMP. Po vyžiadaní počet prichádzajúcich NU-paketov (t. j. vysielanie a prenos) robí tak znovu po 10 sekundách a vypočíta rozdiel. Nadmerne vysoké počty NU-paketov v tomto časovom intervale uviesť siete slučky, ktoré by mali byť preskúmané. V prvom stĺpci tabuľky Ido sa zobrazuje, ak počet po poslednej dot je číslo rozhrania.





Jednoducho zadajte adresu IP a komunity SNMP vášho zariadenia do zodpovedajúcich polí a kliknite na "Skontrolovať". Po desať sekúnd alebo tak uvidíte výsledky v "Delta"-stĺpci tabuľky. Skontrolujte, či sa nadmerné NU-pakety.








Upozorňujeme vás!


SNMP využíva UDP a slučka v sieti je príčinou mnohých pakety spomalenej alebo stratiť. Teda, za určitých okolností tohto softvéru nie výnos požadované výsledky.
